Twenty-two pupils from Years 9 and 10 travelled to Germany this week to take part in the 49th annual exchange between RGS and the Ratsgynsasium, Osnabrück.  They spent Monday attending lessons with their partners in school. On Tuesday they were in Bremen to tour the historic Hansa town and Thursday saw them in Cologne, where the highlight of the visit was an ascent of the famous gothic cathedral with its viewing platform on one of the twin spires.  Mr Yeates, who completed 27 exchanges was sadly no longer leading the group, but his place was ably filled by Mr Wolton and Mr Wignall with our friend and colleague from the Rats, Jürgen Landwehr, coordinating local events.
